Jazz Kang is an integrative counsellor and practitioner and a Senior Lecturer on the M.A. in I.C.P at the University of Derby. She is a member of B.A.C.P. Jazz has a Dip. Relationship Counselling, a Cert. P.C. Counselling, a P.G. Cert. and a P.G. Dip. I.C.P.

In 1996 she became the Project Manager of Derbyshire Rape Crisis (DRC), where she gained knowledge, and expertise in rape and sexual abuse. This project became ‘high profile’. In 2000 Jazz and DRC instigated a unique partnership with Derbyshire Constabulary. This project was the first of its kind in Europe where victims of rape and sexual abuse could receive a ‘one stop service’ including forensic medicals, support and counselling, help with court and police procedures. In 2005 Jazz was presented with an award from Derbyshire Constabulary for her work in diversity.

Jazz has experience of working with a wide variety of presenting issues. Jazz has a diploma in relationship counseling and specialized with couples with domestic violence.

Jazz has extensive experience and knowledge in fundraising and can offer consultancy in this area. Her specialist interests include couple work; self-esteem; confidence; cultural awareness; Asian women; rape & sexual abuse and working with diversity.
